Key responsibilities of a student journalist;
- Reporting: Interviewing guests to gather information for news stories.
- Investigative journalism: Researching and following up on complex issues within the music and entertainment industries.
- Editing: Proofreading and revising articles for grammar, style, and factual accuracy.
- Capturing content for podcasts and crafting clear, concise and accurate copy where needed.
- Pitching story ideas: Proposing relevant topics to the editor for consideration.
- Attending events: Covering important industry functions.
- Fact-checking: Verifying information before publication to ensure accuracy.
- Following ethical guidelines: Adhering to journalistic standards regarding fairness, objectivity, and privacy.
